Ways these Denver Broncos together with their 'play-dough' QB could stop that Chiefs' rule.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Live coverage features live text for the weekend matchups via various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, audio coverage is available on select stations covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).
It's week six of the football calendar and following recent discussion regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.
Striking in those games was the amount of penalties both conceded. The Eagles committed them in key moments meaning they kind of beat themselves having led by two touchdowns entering the fourth period against Denver, set to play in London this weekend.
But it proved positive to see how Denver quarterback Bo Nix was able to overcome that deficit before lead three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, securing the game 21-17.
Denver have the top defender with CB their star corner. They rank first in red zone defence, while Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, yet Denver won that battle.
They had effective strategies in terms of simulated pressure. They did not always sending more than four pass rushers but they could plug two LBs in the interior then drop them out and dispatch a nickel off the edge.
At the start of the season, it was noted during a show how the Broncos might emerge as this season's dark horses. They finished last season strongly then did a good job of building upon that.
Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?
Recently acquired TE Evan Engram has stepped up significantly and new running back their rusher is a player the team trusts. He now ranks fifth in the NFL in ground gains (402) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).
I love that the coach Sean Payton has "RUSH!" at the top on his call sheet.
That shows how the Broncos are a squad that wants to prioritize the run, since one can do a lot based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush while keeps you in favourable down and distances.
It's also helped quarterback the young passer, who came into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – second only to Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020).
Other elite QBs possess powerful arms to pass anywhere, but they don't move the mobility that Nix has. He has incredible arm talent, a unique trait, and he's highly agile.
His strengths include his movement, being able to pass on the run, as well as finding different arm angles to deliver throws as he moves outside protection, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver that layered pass across the middle or past defenders.
As a rookie QB, at 25, he displays a lot of poise under pressure and is not really fazed by the blitz. He aims to evade being tackled as much as possible and is able throw under pressure. He has sharp intelligence and is very decisive.
If you constantly rush it consumes time and forces the opponent to be in play extended periods, and if you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the area vertically side to side. This proves exhausting.
Nix has bitten back with the coach during games sometimes and it seems Payton appreciates that attitude, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's fun for him to have a rookie QB who's kind of like play-dough. He can truly build something up how he wants to build it. I think it's a special experience for the coach.
Payton owns a championship and now surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. In my opinion the achievements the Broncos are experiencing offensively is largely down to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with the QB aids make him into who he is.
There's no better a better guy in your ear, to help you through difficult moments and boost confidence.
I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they strong enough to face a top squad at its best? Because that wasn't championship-level play by the Eagles in their last game.
Currently, I don't think the Broncos are incredible. They're performing above average, which is a good place to be in their division. The key is is maintain this path.
They excel at leaning into their strength, that is running the ball, and this is precisely what they should do against the Jets in London. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.
New York have surrendered 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores so far (10th worst), and they are the only team yet to win a game.
Ever since the NFL began tracking turnovers decades ago, the Jets are the first team to go without any turnovers through five games, which is kind of shocking considering that their new coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.
Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City are off to a poor start after a recent loss by the Jaguars.
After this Sunday's game, the Broncos face a smooth-ish schedule up to their bye (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and Las Vegas Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.
Looking at the AFC West, Kansas City are 2-3 and the Broncos are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge at leading the West.
This hinges on which form of the Chiefs they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
