The Spanish giants brought in Trent Alexander-Arnold on a long-term agreement

Trent Alexander-Arnold's rehabilitation is moving forward according to plan, giving hope that the Madrid right-back may return in time to play against his old team Liverpool in the upcoming European tie.

The 27-year-old international experienced a hamstring injury during a match against Ligue 1 side Marseille in the initial phase of the tournament on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold had to leave the field in the early stages, with initial indications pointing to a possible absence of around a month and a half.

Real Madrid are scheduled to face Liverpool on November 4 for the European fixture—just over a month after the incident took place.

Sources familiar with the situation state that the player's comeback is progressing favorably, and there is optimism that Alexander-Arnold may achieve his first comeback to Anfield since joining Los Blancos in the summer.

A longtime Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier stated that leaving the club he entered as a six-year-old youth talent was the "hardest decision he has ever made."

During his tenure with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold accumulated 354 games, helping win multiple Premier League championships, a European Cup, and the domestic cup.

After his transfer to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has played five times in various tournaments, totaling over two and a half hours of action.
