Football Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland before the global hiatus, however can the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of special visitors.
In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' new album, the new release, is out on Friday.
Soccer and Family Life
Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer side," he added.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be quite close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' only on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was still Forest manager.
Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.
My son told me to get Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six matches.
Fulham have have lots of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.
However I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's home form, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
