Passionate supporters of the actress are urging that a person who jumped a fence and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared clip depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last year.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Safety

Several supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

Several supporters also questioned guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Numerous of supporters had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the second of a dual adaptation of the well-known stage production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely bond between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of last year in the UK, and received a dozen Academy Award nods, earning several for best costume and production design.
